NHRA Pro Stock event, Steve Matusek thunders to Comp pole
Steve
Matusek took the top qualifying spot in Competition Eliminator in
Gainesville with a 6.65 shot, and in his first race ever Rickie Jones made
the Pro Stock field using the new 6.25 clutch system!
Elijah Morton tops in
P/S at Rockingham

Elijah Morton picked up the
Pro Stock win from a red hot John Montecalvo in IHRA action today from
Rockingham. Pete Berner qualified on the pole at 6.32 sec. In
Pro Modified, Mike Janis gained the number one qualifying spot with a
stout 5.98 second pass.
Burton Auxier
breaks through for his first Pro Mod win at Bristol, takes NHRA points
lead

The ever consistent
Burton Auxier posted rounds of 6.07, 6.02, 6.00, and 6.02 in
the Al-Anabi Camaro in route to his fist ever victory in NHRA Pro Mod at
Bristol. Teammate Mike Castellana qualified number one
at a 6.05, closely followed by Brad Personett at a 6.07 with
a big 246 MPH top end charge!

Hanlon back in the winners circle at NMRA Milan event, Matherly
rolls again 
From NMRA Milan, Bangin'
Bob Hanlon returned to the winners circle in fine form with a
final round victory over a red lighting Max Gross. In Real
Street, the MV performance team once again dominated with Tim
Matherly taking the win over team mate Jim Breese.

Pro Mod - Burton Auxier R/U again, RAM competitors blast track records at
St. Louis

It was a fast weekend in St. Louis as the
NHRA Pro Mods came to town. Fresh off a runner up finish at
Gainesville, Burton Auxier once again took r/u honors with a string
of low 6.0 second passes in the Al-Anabi entry. Currently Burton
sits second in the points with teammate Mike Castellana in first.
Records fell as Brad Personett's Precision Turbo/Big Stuff Camaro
blasted to a 5.95 - 250.88 pass that eclipsed the track MPH record and is
the quickest twin turbo run to date. Mike Castellana bested the
track ET record for nitrous assisted cars with a solid 5.96 second pass.

Goforth notches first IHRA Pro Stock win, RAM customers run the table!

From Rockingham, Cary Goforth
picked up his first win in IHRA Pro Stock with a final round victory over Pete
Berner. Both cars were welded together for the entire run, with
Goforth taking the win 6.357 to Berner's 6.359. New York's John
Montecalvo took the number one qualifying spot with a 6.325 effort.
Congrats to all these RAM customers!

At Valdosta, K.A. Balooshi’s
3.87-second blast in his SPEEDTECH Nitrous-equipped Al-Anabi Racing ’68
Chevy Camaro is the first-ever 3.8-second pass in sanctioned competition
for a nitrous-assisted doorslammers and the 196.33mph speed is also the
fastest ever recorded in ADRL Pro Nitrous!

Hardees Georgia Dragstock: Brian Gahm wins Extreme Pro Stock, Dean
Goforth runner up
Brian Gahm became the second winner
in as many events in ADRL's new Extreme Pro Stock class.
Brian beat out Cary Goforth in the final round with a solid 4.08 to
4.13 pass. In Pro Nitrous, Steve Vick came up just
short of a victory against Jim Halsey 3.95 to a winning 3.92.

Castellana picks up P/M win at Gainesville

Mike Castellana
picked up the first NHRA Pro Mod win of the season with a super
consistent race car. Mike wheeled the Al-Anabi Firebird to runs of
6.03, 6.01, 6.04, and 6.04 for a final round victory over another RAM
customer, Burton Auxier. Congrats Mike and Burton!
ADRL
season opens in Houston with two RAM winners!

Doug Kirk returned
to the winners circle for the first time in a while qualifying his Extreme
Pro Stock entry in the 3rd position, and outrunning Brian Gahm to
score his first ADRL Minuteman with a convincing 4.165 – 175.25!

Stan Allen captured
the Pro Nitrous
win from the 13th qualifying position, and his consistency all day paid
off as he defeated Jim Halsey 4.134 – 168.81 to Halsey's losing 4.203
– 149.18.

Rockingham:
John Montecalvo wins the battle, Pete Berner wins the war
The final IHRA
event of the season is in the books, and another year of domination by RAM
Clutches customers has been completed!
By virtue of a Jeff Dobbins second round loss, Pete
Berner has secured his second IHRA Pro Stock World Championship.
Berner has had the dominant car during the second half of the
season, with Dobbins and John Montecalvo right on his heels the whole way.
Montecalvo earned the Ironman for the Rockingham event win with a
6.31-second pass over Elijah Morton.
Frank Gugliotta took the number one qualifying spot with a 6.27.
In the Monday delayed
final round of the Torco Pro Stock Showdown, Berner claimed the $50,000
payday besting John Montecalvo, 6.26 to 6.30.
Monte didn't go home too disappointed though, collecting $20,000
for the runner up finish.

Jon Kaase
and his winning team pose with their 403 CI Ford Cleveland entry in the
Popular Hot Rodding engine challenge. Jon selected a RAM billet
flywheel for their combination. Congrats!

Dallas – Billy Harper is Pro Nitrous Battle of the Belts Champion, RAM
customers run the table in PN and PX at World Finals

In
the ‘race within a race’, the Battle for the Belts in the Pro Nitrous
division featured RAM competitors Billy Harper and Rickie Smith facing off
for the 2008 Championship bragging rights.
Smith got out first, but Harper thundered by for a 3.94 second ET
and now holds the prestigious belt for 2008!
After
a brief absence in the Pro Extreme class, Quain Stott returned with a
vengeance, taking out Pro Extreme Champion Jason Scruggs in the final
round at the Dallas World Finals with a 3.87 second effort.
In the Pro Nitrous class, Mike Castellana took the win with low ET
of the event at 3.92 seconds.

Berner wins Tulsa IHRA Pro Stock, Shannon Jenkins back on top in Norwalk

Pete
Berner won from the pole in IHRA Pro Stock at Tulsa over the weekend.
Berner defeated RAM customer John Montecalvo in the final and ran
as quick as 6.38 in the muggy conditions.
Pro Modified star Mike Castellana also put his nitrous assisted
Firebird in the number one qualifying position with a track record 6.02
second pass, and finished in the runner up position.
At the
Norwalk ADRL event, Shannon Jenkins ran consistent low 3.90’s all
weekend in taking the victory in Pro Nitrous over red-hot points leader
Billy Harper. Congrats

Mike Castellana stunned
the IHRA Pro Modified field at Martin MI, taking the number one qualifying
position with a 6.000 second performance and finishing in the runner up
spot! In Pro Stock action Jeff Dobbins knocked off Pete Berner in
the final.

Rickie Smith back in the winners circle, Robert Patrick takes first
Extreme Pro Stock win

Rickie Smith returned to
the winners circle in ADRL Pro Nitrous action from Budds Creek.
Smith defeated Charles Carpenter in the all RAM Clutches final with a 3.95
second blast. Robert Patrick secured the inaugural Extreme Pro Stock
win
ADRL Radford - Red
hot Harper wins 3rd straight, Swearingen in the winners circle for the
first time!

In the Pro Extreme
category, Travis Swearingen scored his first ADRL event win with a stellar
3.81 second blast. In Pro Nitrous, Billy Harper continued his
stranglehold on the class by first beating team mate Dennis Radford in the
rain delayed final from Martin MI, then besting Charles Carpenter in the
final with a 3.93 second shot. Congrats to these RAM customers!

At Pacific Raceways last
weekend, Mark Wolfe set the new AA/AT record with a 6.51 - 218.69 MPH
pass. Congrats Mark!
