What's the best way to drive my manual transmission car?

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 88622HDX, 98622HD, 88914HDX, 98914 HD, FORD DIESEL.

    1. Follow transmission and clutch & flywheel removal instructions per the factory shop manual.
    2. Correct any hydraulic release system issues before proceeding.
    3. Install the resurfaced or replacement flywheel. Torque the flywheel bolts to 100 ft. lbs. (Blue Locktite recommended)
    4. Note the flywheel side of the new disc (The splined hub protrudes approximately ½ inch on the clutch side but only 1/8 inch on the flywheel side.) and install the clutch assembly using the included alignment tool. Tighten cover bolts one turn at a time progressing around the cover until the bolts are snug. Torque to 35 ft. lbs. (Blue Loctite recommended.)
    5. Reinstall the transmission securing it with two bolts.
    6. BEFORE GOING FURTHER: Put the transmission in high gear, depress the clutch pedal, and using the driveshaft if necessary, turn the output shaft of the transmission to confirm clutch release.
    7. Ease the pedal back until you are unable to turn the output shaft. The pedal travel indicates the distance from full release to initial engagement and confirms adequate travel for full release.

Complete reassembly according to the procedure shown in the shop manual.
