Applied Physics Clutch Graph 4.1
Looking for a way to simulate
changes to your billet clutch system and how they will affect performance?
The new Clutch Graph software is just for you. Clutch Graph allows you to
access your specific clutch performance data and calculate plate pressure
changes across the entire RPM range. The
program takes into account your static pressure and counterweight settings and
allows you to modify these numbers and see exactly how the changes would reflect
in on-the-track performance. It
then allows you to graph these changes and compare them to reference data that
you have collected from actual settings you have run in the car.
In addition to the graphing feature, all the numerical data is also
provided. Other important features
include a corrected altitude function to evaluate how changes in your clutch
system are effected by changes in altitude throughout the weekend.
A gear ratio calculator lets you display how changes in gear sets or rear
gear ratios will affect your clutch settings, and what compensations you will
need to make with the clutch when you do make these gearing changes. Clutch Graph is a free download with a trial version. It is in a zip file that is 6.11MB. Should you decide to activate the full version, the cost is $399 and can be activated via tools -->activation on the screen menu. RatioTrax transmission software
Ram Clutches, in a joint venture with Performance Software Technologies, has released the RatioTrax software for Lenco CS1, CS2, CS3, and Liberty Pro Stock Z and Extreme transmissions The software allows you to quickly calculate transmission ratios, percentage drops, final drive ratios, and tire growth. Multiple gearing combinations can be compared simultaneously. The software will accommodate transmissions built in two through five speed configurations. The program can be fully customized so that you can build your own inventory of planetaries and rear end ratios to fit your specific application. This program is a must for any team wanting to optimize their clutch/transmission package to changing weather and track conditions. After extensive testing it is being utilized by many of the top teams in IHRA including Tony Gillig, John Montecalvo, and Pete Berner. The program is available on CD or can be downloaded in a free 30 day trial version below. It is not Vista compatible. Activation can be made by calling 800.845.2383 x 202. Cost of activation is $300.
