What's the best way to drive my manual transmission car?

 

 

Introducing the new RAM Street Dual clutch system. 
 Finally you can have some driveability for your high horsepower street and track car.

RAM Clutches proudly introduces our dual disc clutch system for early and late model muscle cars.  The assembly consists of an aluminum flywheel, easy pedal effort diaphragm pressure plate, 300 series friction material, and a special floater plate retainer system that virtually eliminates floater plate rattle.  The holding capacity for this clutch is in excess of  900 ft/lbs, yet  the engagement is silky smooth thanks to the 300 series friction.

Now you do not have to deal with on/off switch clutches for your high horsepower street machine!  The system works with mechanical linkages on older cars and hydraulic and cable systems.  LS1 applications require an adjustable master cylinder.

A safety bellhousing is strongly advised and some modifications may be required to pivot ball configurations in cable and mechanical release applications, as well as hydraulics.

As with any clutch system in vehicles making extreme horsepower, if you run the car hard at the track the unit life is going to be reduced.  You must remember that to apply all the power the clutch has to be working some, and this will wear the clutch just like your brake system wears.
