RAM Clutches introduces a complete solution for your race Mustang or other 5.0 or 5.7L powered racer. The RAM single iron set contains all the items necessary to convert to our 11 inch sintered iron race assembly. Sintered iron clutches allow for controlled application of power on takeoff to allow the car to smoothly accelerate from the starting line without excessive tire spin or driveline shock, and lock the clutch up progressively as the car accelerates. The set includes the 800 pound base adjustable pressure plate, sintered iron race clutch disc, flywheel, mounting hardware, release bearing, and a specially modified clutch fork that allows the unit to be used in 83-95 Mustang applications. Also included is a set of 360 pound pressure springs for higher RPM applications.
Additional items required for this clutch are an adjustable pivot ball from your bellhousing manufacturer, and a starter that is configured for the new 164 tooth flywheel. These are available under Ford pn F2TZ-11002A, or ‘industry’ number 3223.
RAM single iron assemblies provide a solution capable of handling up to 1000 horsepower!
A safety bellhousing is required to use the RAM single disc sintered iron clutch set. |
